Darwin Drones marks a decisive milestone with EYESEE Air — a hardware-agnostic autonomous drone inventory solution, deployable in days on any site, from a single production warehouse to a global multi-site distribution network.
Grenoble, 19 March 2026 – Darwin Drones, developer and publisher of the EYESEE drone inventory solution, announces the launch of EYESEE Air. This new offering marks a genuine break in warehouse inventory automation: by decoupling software value from hardware, EYESEE Air makes it possible — for the first time — to deploy an autonomous drone inventory solution on any site, regardless of size, layout or counting frequency, with a business model that adapts precisely to the real needs of each location.
In practice, the solution delivers:
– Deployment in days, with no fixed infrastructure or installation: rack mapping (digital twin), team training — and it is ready
– 100% automated flight through pallet racking, up to 20 metres high, in full co-activity with ongoing operations
– 100% read rate on GS1 barcodes (1D and 2D), with systematic photo evidence for every location checked
– Inventory speed more than 10 times faster than manual operations
– Reliable, traceable and audit-ready results, immediately exportable to any WMS or ERP
– Native flexibility: one or several drones, one or multiple sites, volumes adjustable month by month
The solution is available as a monthly subscription (from €500/month), complemented by a hardware pack (drone, tablet, batteries and accessories) and initial training.
« The large groups we work with operate dozens of sites with very different profiles. Until now, deploying automated inventory across an entire estate was either too complex or too expensive for smaller sites. EYESEE Air changes that reality: one platform, standard commercial drones available everywhere, and a business model that adapts site by site. For the first time, we can genuinely talk about deployment at scale. »
— Eric Pierrel, CEO, Darwin Drones
EYESEE Air is built on two proven software components. EYESEE Cloud centralises mission preparation, warehouse mapping, results analysis and audit reporting. EYESEE App handles field execution in real time: flight supervision, anomaly management and data export to business tools.
This architecture positions EYESEE as a full Inventory Control System (ICS): not just another tool in the logistics chain, but an independent verification layer that continuously certifies what is actually in the warehouse — where a WMS focuses on managing what should be there.
The ability to run different compatible drone models depending on each country or site’s constraints further reinforces this logic of maximum adaptability — a key advantage for groups operating across multiple geographies.
“The deployment of EYESEE Air is the result of a three-way collaboration between FM Logistic as the logistics provider, our industrial client Haribo, and Darwin Drones as the solution expert. This implementation is fully aligned with our continuous improvement strategy: moving from an annual physical inventory to cycle counting, eliminating weekend operational shutdowns and their associated costs, and staying competitive by adopting modern, efficient solutions. The Air model also gives us the flexibility to scale alongside our client’s evolving footprint, thanks to the scalable Cloud architecture. It’s a genuine win-win — and our ambition is now to bring other industrial partners and clients on board.”
— Jeremy Halupka, Directeur d’Activités Logistiques, FM Logistic
Building on these references and a proven platform, Darwin Drones is now accelerating the commercial rollout of EYESEE Air. The solution addresses a significantly broader customer base —including groups seeking to equip a heterogeneous multi-site estate without friction — while simultaneously leveraging a certified partner network (integrators, inventory service providers, business introducers) to support deployment at European scale. EYESEE Air will be officially unveiled at the upcoming SITL Paris trade show (31 March – 2 April 2026, stand K182).
